The Beauty Project

So much has been happening for us at Peppermint Creek, which is exactly why our poor blog has been so sadly neglected. We are so quick to post on Facebook, but never quite make it back to the blog! So, it's time for an update.

We have two ahhhmazing new products that we are in the midst of launching and they both have us zinging with excitement! Firstly, we have our new division covering birth photography. For more information head to www.thebirthphotographers.com.au and stay tuned for more in that area over the next few months.

Our second new product is called The Beauty Project, and centres around every woman's desire to feel beautiful. Our teaser posts can be seen above with information regarding sessions and packages coming up in the next few days.

In the meantime, here's hoping Chris and Louise Booth are having the time of their lives on their honeymoon and that our April and May birth mums are resting up ready for their big day!

A sweet selection of images for Mr and Mrs Clancy

We do love us a wedding, let there be no doubt. The sweet anticipation as the Bride prepares for the day, the playful joking that keeps the groom’s nerves under control as he waits for his beloved to enter the church, the gorgeous details that each couple painstakingly select and prepare so that their day is unique - remembered by all who attend as “the best day ever!”.

Well, Paul and Louise’s wedding day was certainly just that… and more. If we could have wished for our dream location it would have been this:

Belgenny Farm. Established in 1805 back in a time when life was so much simpler.

Well, ask and ye shall receive! It could not have been more perfectly suited to the new Mr and Mrs Clancy… and for us it was a gift.

This quote, taken from a love letter written by Wolfgang Amadeus MozartLink to his new wife Constanze, speaks of the period during which the farm was founded, when life was far less complicated, and it reminds us that our lives today are far more complex than we need them to be.

He writes…

“Darling wife, I have a number of requests to make to you:-

1st. I beg you will not be melancholy.

2nd. That you will take care of yourself, and not expose yourself to the spring breezes.

3rd. That you will not go out to walk alone- indeed, it would be better not to walk at all.

4th. That you will feel entirely assured of my love”.

Such quiet respect, loving companionship and sweet tenderness is the perfect recipe for a long and happy marriage and after sharing the day with Paul and Louise this describes their relationship beautifully. They also laugh… a lot! Another vital ingredient for a successful marriage!

Mr and Mrs Clancy, it is with great pleasure that we celebrate your wedding day with this brief collection of images in which you both look amazing and happy… and loved.

Louise rocked these gorgeous shoes by Wittner.

Riki from Bridal Vision at Wetherill Park describes Louise's gown beautifully,

"The gown that this beautiful bride is wearing is a long line bodice, one piece dress. The fabric is ivory silk and the neckline is 'sweetheart' to flatter her perfect cleavage.

The bodice has diagonal rouching in silk fabric and is encrusted in between with clear Swarovski crystals.

Her skirt is assymetrically draped with pleated organza layers in between the silk.

Her back bodice is corseted with same diagonal beading as used on front of gown".

Louise's look was created by the following fabulous vendors:
Hair: E.Clips Hair Studio in Sth Windsor

Flowers: Daisy Chain Floral Designers at Castle Hill

The beautiful Bridesmaids were dressed by SMIK in Windsor

Mother and daughter's boots were from RM Williams

A sweet deal... for a short time only!

It's been said a million times, or more, that a picture tells a thousand words. Stories upon stories have been conjured and created from images, real and imagined, for as long as tales have been told. The truth is, even after all this time on earth, people need stories. Be it a bedtime story when the sun goes to sleep, or a photo album that chronicles the birth and growth of everyone beloved, stories tell us so many things about ourselves that we need to know for sure. The treasured photographs that adorn our homes tell our loved ones that they belong, they are treasured and they are loved above all else.

This month, we want to celebrate these stories by giving you a free 11" x 14" storyboard print, valued at $120.00, of your family... being you.

To be eligible, you must be one of the first six clients to book a Storytelling Session with us by June 30th 2011. Sesssions must be held before
September 30th and the offer only applies to clients who
purchase either our "Crisps" or "Creams" packages.
Please note that a $150.00 session fee applies.

For more information call Carley on 0412415552 or Kirrily on 0419614840.
We would look forward to planning a unique and personal session with you that showcases Your Sweet Story.

Home Sweet Home

Despite having known Trev all of my life, it has been YEARS since we have seen one another. So, it was wonderful to see each other again on a cold and frosty morning and finally meet the loves of his life... his wife Alli and daughter Lexie. After living and working overseas for so long, Trev and Alli recently returned home to introduce Little Lexie to their family and friends who were simply bursting with anticipation to finally have them on Aussie soil. So, guys, welcome home!
It is wonderful to have you back...
looking forward to seeing each other more often and
watching Lexie grow before our very eyes!

Sweet Dreams are made of this....

Finding the perfect partner and creating a family together is what so many of us dream about, and those of us who have been lucky enough to turn our dreams into reality will understand how precious these images will be to the Cini Family as time goes by.
Perhaps , one day, these images of Savannah playing tea parties and pushing her baby brother in a dolly pram will sit next to images of Savannah with her own babies in prams, all grown up, with a family of her own.
Those precious images will stand as proof of sweet dreams realised... documented... and shared... and revisited through photography year after year. A priceless record of a family's growth, love and life lived... sweetly.

A Mother is a Blessing from Above

On a glorious Saturday afternoon, I met with Sandra and her adorably spunky little boy at the park in Richmond for a very special Mother's Day shoot. We were blessed with Sunshine to warm this chilly afternoon and it was a nice accompaniment for the warm loving bond that is held between a mother and a child. Surely, the definition of a child, amongst many things, is to warm a mother's heart and bring a little ray of sunshine to your sometimes dismal day. What sweeter way to end this day than with an afternoon of cuddles, giggles, tickles and a milkshake and memories which warm the heart.

Sweet Sunshine on a Cloudy Day

Yes, it was cold and grey outside today, but anyone who was lucky enough to be around Nicole and Bill felt nothing but sunshine! And while the rain was a disappointment, as we only had minutes to capture some sweet moments out on the golf course, it was shortlived.
Nothing could dampen the spirits of this blissful couple!

Bill and Nicole, I hope this evening was everything you hoped it would be... and more! You are such generous, happy and genuine people and you deserve all the 'luck' that comes your way (after all, it did rain on your wedding day!!.. sorry Nicole, I couldn't resist saying it one more time!). Congratulations to you, and your children.
They are so blessed to have both of you in their lives.

And so, after shooting two weddings this week Kirrily and Carley are feeling blessed to have the opportunity to do this work. We truly love what we do and we adore each and every one of our amazing clients and their families. We are simply bursting to get stuck into the processing work so that we can share more sweet memories before too long.

Until then - Happy Honeymooning to the Greco and Frendo Newlyweds!!

Sweet beginnings for Nigel and Di

Until Nigel and Di asked us to shoot their wedding, Kirrily and I had managed to walk through life without ever noticing that "same number" (cause its not quite a palindrome) dates and weddings go together. Sure we thought a mid-week wedding was cool - but we didn't realise HOW cool until it was pointed out to us. The coolest part for us, though, is that we had the privilege of capturing the moment that Di and Nigel agreed to be each other's sweetheart forever. We love our job!

Di was calm, poised and glowing in her crisp, white gown. We loved her choice of native flowers, especially the rich reds and nutty textures.

The ceremony was held at Castlereagh Hall, such a tranquil setting with a picturesque outlook. As you can see in the following image Di was overjoyed to be there, finally, walking down the aisle to marry her one and only.

The ceremony was beautifully officiated by Nicole Celeban. Both Nigel and Di listened intently as each promised themselves to the other. It's always our favourite moment (and Carley cries every single time!).

Meet the girls, Toni and Alexis, the two most attentive bridesmaids by far!

And now meet Damian. He's a great bloke - pity he is so shy in front of the camera. As you can see we really struggled to capture his personality....

Groomsmen are always great value and can be relied upon to keep everyone smiling and laughing as we shoot the location and formal images. However, we have decided that Errol (below) is THE BEST... hands down. Thanks, Errol, we really enjoyed having you around!

Di is a country girl through and through and just LOVES cows.
Such a pity they were not closer to the fence.

We couldn't help ourselves... with both Nigel and Di being correctional officers and all!

The country theme continued indoors at the reception with hay bales, native flowers and cow print decorating the hall.

Di and Nigel, thank you so much for allowing us to be present for this, your sweetest moment by far. We hope you will look back on your images and remember that the 09/09/09 was the beginning of what we hope will be a long, joyous and exciting life together. Congratulations once again!
