Carley's Sweet Mother's Day Suprise

Now, I hope my mum doesn't check out our blog before the weekend because I would hate for her to spoil the suprise. Not that I think receiving photographs from us will be a suprise - it's rather a given actually! But, we know that seeing beautiful images of all her children happy and thriving is what makes Mother's Day so perfect. These images are proof that Mum has done (and continues to do) an amzing job. Because of her we continue to grow as individuals, free to make our own decisions safe in the knowledge that if we fall she will always be there to catch us - no matter how grown up we are!

So, here are few of my faves from a rather rushed session featuring my brother, sister, myself and our wonderful partners (I won't post the shots of the gradchildren just in case mum does visit the blog... you'll have to wait for those Mum xo). Here's hoping that when Mum sees these images she understands that we owe much of our happiness to her... Happy Mother's Day Mum!

Kirrily Captures A 'Sweet' Family Memory

There is no denying that getting engaged and all the excitement of planning a wedding is one of the 'sweetest' times in your life. So, when Adam and Alana asked me to record this moment in their lives I was honoured. These images truly capture the fun-loving relationship that Adam and Alana share. They make such a great couple and I am sure that they will endure a very loving, happy, long-lasting life together as husband and wife. I am blessed to have them as part of my family and look forward to sharing many more of their 'sweetest' moments with them as they continue on their journey. (AND I can't wait to have another sister-in-law)!

Carley Shoots a Family Favourite

I think it's so important to surround yourself with images of your family and friends that truly represent who you are here and now - today, not ten years ago! So often we leave old and dated images of our near and dear hanging around our homes until it's time to move house or renovate, which can lead to tired and old photographs clinging to our walls for decades!
Not so for this bunch! Recognising the changes their family has undergone recently this wise and wacky family decided it was time to re shoot, re frame and revive their much adored group portraits. Dark clouds, heavy downpours and even a family function cold not keep this dedicated group from completing their mission. Here's hoping their gallant efforts inspire others to gather for the group shot!
Thanks to all of you for making this such a fun afternoon, despite the wild weather I think we captured those timeless images you were after. Stay tuned for more sneak peeks...

Carley meets Suzana, Peter and Illia

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of meeting up with Suzana, Peter and their adorable son (and future heart-breaker) Illia. After weeks of scorching temperatures we were finally able to get together by the river to capture this chapter in their lives. They will all look back on these images one day and recall this as the time when it was "just the three of us", a family just starting to write their story. Judging by their energy, love and warmth, this family's story is certain to be a joyous one.

Our new image

What's in a name? For us - it's everything! A name conveys so much about a business and what it represents, which is why we thought it was time for a makeover. So much of who we are as friends and photographers is wrapped up in our new business name and logo, and there is much more to come!
Of course there is a story behind "Peppermint Creek", one that we will elaborate on soon. What we really want to do now is get back into what we love best - shooting and sharing our images - your sweetest moments!
